Overall Objective of the Role

Operate under general oversight within a workshop setting, executing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of machinery. Prepare equipment to organizational standards in a secure manner for deployment in an operational context.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance, along with diagnostics and repairs of machinery according to established work plans, adhering to the required organizational quality and certification standards.
  • Assist in the assembly, setup, and disassembly of equipment as necessary.
  • May be tasked with operating a forklift for the movement, loading, and unloading of equipment, provided the necessary driving qualifications are held.
  • Perform required inspections of machinery and prepare the relevant documentation to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and practices, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
  • Report all incidents and deviations in accordance with the established procedures and timelines.
  • Update job documentation and submit to the supervisor at the conclusion of each work period.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments, such as logistics and inventory, to ensure all necessary components and item movements are completed for timely task execution in line with operational needs.
  • Actively engage in daily meetings to discuss safety, maintenance status, and updates on mobilization/demobilization.
  • Participate in toolbox talks and planning sessions as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the workspace and tools to ensure a tidy working environment.
  • Communicate with supervisors, team members, and operational staff as needed to ensure all aspects of the work schedule are addressed with the relevant parties for effective communication and safe completion of maintenance and repair tasks.

Required Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Relevant Technical Certification
  • Prior work experience, preferably in a related field.
