Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at RHL. As a Contract Buyer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our purchasing team in a major international manufacturing client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Support: Process requisitions, provide support for purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, cost, price analyses, and contract/purchase order generation.
  • Process Improvement: Develop improvement plans to support buyers and professionals related to Response Time, Lean Targets Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management to enable optimal and efficient operations.
  • Process Analysis and Maintenance: Perform analysis and maintenance of assigned processes that produce output excellence, build expertise for the assigned process area, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Customer Support: Support customers and customer proposal efforts with pricing information and supplier selection.
  • Purchasing Initiatives: Perform analytical and administrative tasks in support of purchasing strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Familiar with Microsoft Office package, word, excel, powerpoint.
  • Training: CAT systems will have full training as part of the role.
  • Experience: 2 years of Junior procurement experience gained within the manufacturing or engineering industries.
  • Education: Ideally a Degree qualified, in lieu of this we would be looking at more and direct experience.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Data-driven decision making procurement experience.

Contract Details:

  • Contract Type: 12-month contract with the potential for extension.
  • Rate: c£25.40 per hour.
  • Benefits: 33 days holiday and pension.

Working Arrangements:

  • Hybrid Working: Minimum of 3 days a week at the office.
  • Hours of Work: 37.5 hours a week, with slightly different hours dependent on site.
