Job Summary:
CITB is seeking a skilled Vocational Assessor to provide high-quality training and assessment for learners in the construction industry. As a mobile assessor, you will work with employers and learners across various construction sites nationally, ensuring that learners meet the required standards for industry and external awarding organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a cohort of learners, conducting assessments and evaluations of their knowledge, skills, and behaviors.
- Support and advise Apprenticeship Development Coaches/Apprenticeship Officers in preparing for and during the periodic review process.
- Ensure employers are kept up to date with learner progress and knowledge, skills, and behaviors developed.
- Advise and inform learners of End Point Assessment requirements and support them in preparing a portfolio of evidence.
- Carry out assessments and training in the workplace to ensure learners confidently demonstrate technical and specialist knowledge, skills, and behaviors.
- Conduct IQA activities as requested.
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive on and off the job practical and theory lessons.
- Provide regular written and verbal feedback to learners.
- Develop high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment resources.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Level 3 qualification directly related to the role.
- Specialist licence to practice qualifications relevant to the role.
- Relevant industry experience in the construction industry.
- Excellent knowledge of current industry practices.
- Minimum of Level 3 teaching qualification (or commitment to achieve within one year of commencing role).
- Assessor Awards (or commitment to achieve within one year of commencing).
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Educated to level 2 or above in English and maths.
