Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated Advanced Practice Nurses to become integral members of our dynamic team within a bustling Urgent and Emergency Care Centre. Candidates should possess post-registration experience, outstanding communication abilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for managing minor injuries. We are currently on the lookout for Emergency Nurse Practitioners (ENP) or equivalent practitioners with extended capabilities to uphold the high standards of care we are committed to delivering.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will independently assess and treat patients presenting with both complex and minor injuries in the Urgent and Emergency Care Centre. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough clinical assessments to establish diagnoses and appropriate treatment plans.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and serving as a clinical resource for less experienced staff, thereby enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborating effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Performing extended skills such as x-ray interpretation and suturing, while also contributing to the training and evaluation of other team members.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Essential: Experience in multi-disciplinary teamwork, managing acutely ill patients, and working autonomously.
  • Desirable: Previous experience in a senior role and involvement in staff education.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • A solid understanding of current health service priorities and quality initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • Current Professional Registration.
  • A qualification in minor injuries management.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.

Desirable: Qualification in Non-Medical Prescribing (v300) if applicable for the role.
