Job Overview

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our fixed and mobile plant, ensuring that customers receive high-quality materials and on-time deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate both mobile and fixed plant on site
  • Work with the team to ensure that customers receive good quality material and on-time deliveries
  • Assist the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targets
  • Follow SHE policies and procedures
  • Ensure plant conforms with safety requirements at all times
  • Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities
  • Inspect the plant and take action on defects and implement remedial action
  • Ensure plant availability is maximised
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping around the site

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Multi Skilled Operative in a Plant/Cement/Readymix environment
  • Good communication skills and a desire to develop both operative and supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of plant – both fixed and mobile
  • Loading Shovel License – minimum 7.5 meter license
  • Good timekeeping and flexibility to meet site requirements
  • Good communication skills and ability to bring problems to the attention of Line Management
  • Full UK manual car driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
  • IT Literate
