Job Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi Skilled Operative to join our C&H Readymix 'RMX' team based at our Costessey site near Norwich. This role is easily commutable from various locations in the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility

The successful candidate will work directly with the Plant Management team, operating both fixed and mobile plant on site. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the day-to-day operations of our plant run smoothly
  • Working with the team to maintain site stocks and replenish as needed
  • Assisting the Supervisor in meeting daily/weekly production targets
  • Following SHE policies and procedures
  • Ensuring plant safety and compliance at all times
  • Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities
  • Inspecting plant and implementing remedial action as necessary
  • Maximizing plant availability
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping around site

This role requires flexibility and the ability to work overtime to meet site production plans. The ideal candidate will possess good communication skills, a proven track record of working in a plant environment, and a desire to develop both operative and supervisory skills.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, the following is essential:

  • Knowledge of plant operations, both fixed and mobile
  • Loading Shovel License – minimum 7.5 meter license required
  • Good timekeeping and flexibility to meet site requirements
  • Good communication skills and ability to bring problems to the attention of Line Management
  • Full UK manual car driving license with no more than 6 penalty points
  • IT literacy
