Job Title: Female Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team and provide high-quality care and support to a lady in her thirties with cerebral palsy in her own home in the Cardiff area.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing all personal and domestic care, as well as supporting the client to attend and participate in various activities, including gym sessions, boxing, and caring for her cat and dog.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in caring for individuals with physical and/or learning disabilities, a positive interest in active rehabilitation, and a desire to enable the client to reach her full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing personal and domestic care, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Supporting the client to attend and participate in various activities, including gym sessions and boxing
  • Caring for the client's cat and dog
  • Assisting the client with her head painting and market stall activities
  • Managing the client's medication and maintaining accurate records
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in caring for individuals with physical and/or learning disabilities
  • Full driving licence and confidence to drive the client's car
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with the client, her family, and other professionals involved
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check
  • Registered with Social Care Wales or working towards registration
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive hourly rate, with £13.59 per hour on weekdays, £14.68 per hour on weekends, and £11.44 per hour on weekday nights and sleep rates. Occasional Sunday and night cover may be required.
