We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team and provide high-quality care and support to a lady in her thirties with cerebral palsy in her own home in the Cardiff area.
The ideal candidate will have experience in caring for individuals with physical and/or learning disabilities, be a strong communicator, and have a positive attitude towards active rehabilitation. A full UK driving licence and confidence in driving the client's car are essential.
The role involves providing all personal and domestic care, supporting the client to attend and participate in various activities, and assisting with cat and dog care. The client enjoys head painting and running market stalls, and the support worker will be required to assist with these activities.
Previous experience and registration with Social Care Wales are essential. A recognised Health and Social Care qualification (NVQ Level 2 or a Diploma) or completion of the All-Wales Induction Framework within 6 months of starting are also required.
We offer a competitive hourly rate, with £13.59 per hour on weekdays, £14.68 per hour on weekends, £11.44 per hour on weekday nights, and £11.91 per hour on weekend nights.
As a Female Support Worker, you will be employed directly by the client, with Westcountry Case Management overseeing all aspects of the care package. We are committed to safeguarding and protecting all children, young people, and vulnerable adults we work with.
