Job Opportunity: Female Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team at Active Care Group. The successful candidate will work with a young lady with cerebral palsy in her own home in the community, providing practical support and ensuring her safety with everyday activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support with daily activities, such as shopping and attending appointments
  • Facilitate the client's independence by adopting a person-centered approach, as advised by the case manager and therapists
  • Support the client's personal goals and promote her skills, abilities, and individual needs
  • Work flexibly within a rota, which may include regular hours and shift patterns

Requirements:

  • Hold an NVQ (or equivalent) in care and have recent training
  • Have experience caring for people with physical and/or learning disabilities
  • Be a positive influence and have a strong desire to support the client's rehabilitation
  • Be a female driver with a full UK driving license
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to work with the client, her family, and other professionals
  • Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Current training in areas such as equality, diversity, and inclusion, health and safety at work, and safeguarding vulnerable adults and children
