Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Decontamination Team Leader to join our team at Ramsay Health Care. As a key member of our Sterilization Department, you will be responsible for leading a team of Decontamination Technicians and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the decontamination of medical devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a team of Decontamination Technicians to achieve departmental objectives and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Liaise with Decontamination Managers, Decontamination Technicians, and Apprentice/Trainee Decontamination Technicians to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in the provision of a specialized decontamination service, contributing to the clinical care of patients.
  • Perform a full range of decontamination duties, including managing Decontamination records and ensuring Departmental Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.
  • Provide a high-quality and timely service to all customers, including healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Plan and manage your own workload, working with minimal supervision to achieve departmental objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in decontamination and sterilization, with a strong understanding of ISO standard quality systems.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Good computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office package.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
