Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Acute Inpatient Team at Sussex Children and Young People's Service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive assessments and psychiatry-led interventions for young people with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the acute care pathway.
- Participate in the CAMHS Psychiatry on-call rota.
- Work closely with other consultants and specialty doctors to develop peer networks and improve services.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- MRCPsych or equivalent.
- CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or equivalent.
Additionally, desirable qualifications include:
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- Additional clinical qualifications.
We offer a competitive salary, a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000, and up to £8,000 relocation allowance. The RRP payment is paid in instalments, and the Recruitment and Retention payment is pro rata for part-time employees.
