Role Summary:
The Junior Merchandising Associate will collaborate with the Merchandising team to shape the appearance of our product lines. You will also manage inventory levels to optimize sales and reduce markdown risks, thereby enhancing profitability. You will learn to respond to customer preferences and coordinate with our global suppliers to ensure timely stock delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- With guidance from your team, you will acquire the necessary skills to advance within the merchandising department. You will take on responsibilities early, managing stock for your designated product area.
- You will oversee your department's launch strategy, ensuring optimal stock placement to maximize profitability.
- Regular feedback will be provided by your Merchandise team, who will mentor and support you in achieving your objectives.
- Coordinate and manage stock intake from suppliers worldwide.
- Update product systems with accurate delivery schedules and shipping methods.
- Analyze historical and current sales data to forecast future stock requirements.
- As you progress, you will have opportunities to participate in range development meetings, using your insights to influence future product lines.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships across various business functions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with a confident and professional demeanor.
- Highly organized, capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
- A strong communicator, adept at building relationships both internally and externally.
- Able to analyze data and identify opportunities.
- Numerically literate with a basic understanding of percentages.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Approachable and effective in a team setting.
