Events and Awards Coordinator

As the Events and Awards Coordinator, you will be instrumental in assisting the Events and Awards Director by managing charitable collaborations and securing beverage sponsorships for our various events and awards. Your responsibilities will include overseeing travel and accommodation arrangements for internal teams attending both domestic and international events. Furthermore, you will aid in the planning and execution of additional in-house events and projects throughout the year, providing onsite support at domestic events and awards as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

You will supervise the Events and Awards Assistant, who is currently handling budgetary duties and supporting the Events Manager and Awards Manager with staffing and equipment requirements for events and awards.

  • Assist the Events and Awards Director with all charitable partnerships and mentorship initiatives.
  • Manage beverage sponsorship opportunities at events and awards, collaborating closely with the Events Manager on requirements and working with commercial and editorial teams for potential leads.
  • Oversee travel and accommodation arrangements for internal personnel attending domestic and international events and awards.
  • Provide onsite assistance at domestic events and awards.
  • Support the organization and execution of additional events (such as Judges Parties, in-house events, and other ad hoc projects) as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in Event or Project Management.
  • A genuine interest and enthusiasm for working with wine is essential.
  • Knowledge of wine is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
