Role Overview:

As the Project Manager for Events and Awards, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Events & Awards Director. Your primary responsibilities will include managing partnerships with charitable organizations and securing beverage sponsorships for our various events and awards. You will also be in charge of coordinating travel and accommodation logistics for our teams attending both domestic and international events. Furthermore, you will provide support for additional in-house events and projects throughout the year, ensuring smooth execution during UK events and awards as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Events & Awards Director in managing charity partnerships and mentorship initiatives.
  • Oversee beverage sponsorship opportunities, collaborating with the Events Manager to determine requirements and liaising with commercial and editorial teams for potential leads.
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for internal staff attending UK and international events.
  • Provide on-site assistance during UK events and awards.
  • Assist in the organization and execution of additional events, such as Judges Parties and other ad hoc projects as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in Event or Project Management.
  • A genuine interest and enthusiasm for the wine industry is essential.
  • Knowledge of wine is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
