Position Overview:
Bridge Recruitment is thrilled to present a remarkable opportunity for a Senior Operations Manager to become part of a family-owned facilities service provider renowned for delivering exceptional service to clients on a global scale.
In the capacity of Senior Operations Manager, you will take charge of a newly secured contract, overseeing operations across the North West and Wales to the North East and Yorkshire.
Your responsibilities will include managing the daily operations of 24 bus depots and associated outstations, which collectively operate a fleet of 1350 vehicles.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Operations Manager role will possess extensive experience within the transport or bus sector, along with a comprehensive understanding of the specific demands associated with 24/7 operations in this field.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the daily operations of the contract
2. Ensure adherence to all safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations
3. Formulate and execute operational strategies aimed at improving efficiency and service excellence
4. Lead and manage a team of supervisors and staff, cultivating a positive and productive workplace culture
5. Maintain robust relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are consistently met
6. Oversee and manage operational budgets, ensuring efficient service delivery
7. Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance operational performance
8. Ensure timely and efficient cleaning, fueling, and shunting of all vehicles
9. Address any operational challenges or emergencies swiftly and effectively
10. Conduct regular audits and inspections to uphold high standards of service
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in an operational management role, preferably within the facilities and transport sectors
2. Strong leadership and team management capabilities
3. Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
4. Demonstrated ability to manage 24/7 operations
5. Solid knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
6. Strong problem-solving abilities with a capacity to make decisions under pressure
7. University degree and/or higher education qualifications are preferred
8. Exceptional communication and organizational skills
9. Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software
10. Highly motivated and proactive
11. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
12. Strong attention to detail
13. Resilient and adaptable to changing situations
14. Commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery
