We are in search of an accomplished Head of Humanitarian Policy Initiatives to define our strategic direction, spearhead influential research, and enhance policy engagement concerning crisis management. This role will focus on strengthening our collaborative efforts and amplifying our overall impact.

About the Humanitarian Policy Initiatives

The Humanitarian Policy Initiatives team is recognized as a leading group of policy researchers and analysts focused on humanitarian challenges. We merge high-caliber policy analysis with the ability to serve as an independent catalyst for dialogue and discussion. This is an opportune moment to join our team as we launch a new strategic plan aimed at improving outcomes for individuals affected by crises and fostering connections between humanitarian and developmental actions.

Our core activities include research, advocacy, and convening. We prioritize rigorous, independent analysis and impactful policy engagement as part of our exciting new strategy, which emphasizes rights in crises, the dynamics of power within the humanitarian system, and resilience in the face of climate and conflict challenges. About You

You will be a recognized authority in crisis management, equipped with the experience necessary to provide intellectual leadership across a diverse research and policy landscape. Your ability to leverage The Economist's expertise in development, climate, and peace will be crucial in our crisis engagement efforts. As a proficient communicator, you will excel in senior-level advocacy and convening with significant influence. A proven track record in strategic leadership and business development will be essential, along with the capability to build, inspire, and manage a talented team.
