Position Overview:
A Quality Assurance Engineer is essential for upholding the utmost quality standards and spearheading ongoing enhancement initiatives within the production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with AS9100, ISO9001, and UKAS standards.
2. Improve the QMS to boost its overall effectiveness.
3. Serve as a principal auditor for quality systems to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Quality Issue Management:
Rapidly diagnose the root causes of quality challenges and collaborate closely with the production team to implement necessary behavioral, procedural, and process modifications to avert future occurrences.

Ensure that insights gained from quality challenges are utilized to prevent reoccurrences, including adjustments to processing routes and operational protocols.

Lead the auditing of corrective actions to confirm the effectiveness of revised process control documents and ensure that localized training is both in place and effective.

Supply Chain Quality Assurance:
Oversee supply chain quality initiatives and establish a robust auditing program, nurturing strong relationships with key suppliers.

Ensure timely responses to supplier claims regarding quality issues by providing objective evidence of failure modes and supporting the Purchasing Team during relevant discussions.

Continuous Improvement:
Actively engage in improvement initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile:
A successful Quality Assurance Engineer should possess:
- Auditor training with practical auditing experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO9001, AS9100, and UKAS standards.
- Strong skills in workload and priority management.
- A methodical approach with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication abilities and proficiency in computer applications.
