Are you a seasoned professional in Business Support or Administration looking for a new opportunity? Within our Children's Services, the Business Support team is essential in facilitating efficient operations. As a Business Support Officer, you will be integral to our daily functions, providing crucial assistance to ensure our services operate smoothly. You will collaborate with a team that supports multiple social work units, each led by a team manager and consisting of dedicated social workers. You will be part of a cohesive and supportive environment, where teamwork is paramount under the guidance of your Business Support Team Manager.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Business Support Team Manager, who oversees Family Safeguarding and Support for Disabled Children services, you will work alongside another Business Support Officer and the Senior Business Support Officer. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at assisting the social work team, including:
- Financial Administration: Establishing new suppliers in the Council's database and payment systems. Managing Direct Payments for parents and caregivers of disabled children, processing invoices, and resolving any disputes. Inputting and adjusting commitments in the Council database for forecasting and reporting.
- Data Management: Ensuring accurate demographic information is recorded in the database.
- Minute Taking: Completing and returning meeting minutes within agreed timelines.
- Diary Management: Organizing duty schedules and arranging meetings, including room bookings.
- Document Management: Overseeing SharePoint folders and filing systems, ensuring proper document uploads.
- Inbox Management: Addressing service inquiries promptly and effectively.
