Position Overview

As a Substance Misuse Support Specialist, your role will involve offering guidance and assistance to individuals facing challenges related to substance use. You will manage your own client portfolio, collaborating with our team and other social care entities to determine the best ways to provide support. Together with your clients, you will create personalized plans aimed at helping them regain control of their lives.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Attainment of ONC/NVQ level 3 or willingness to achieve this within a year
  • Compliance with safeguarding requirements, including a satisfactory background check

  • Demonstrable experience in health, social care, or related fields
  • Understanding of mutual aid and community support groups
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues

  • Comfort with using technology and digital platforms
  • Flexibility in working hours as needed
