Change Management Programme Lead

Peterborough, Peterborough, United Kingdom North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Position Overview

The role of Change Management Programme Lead is pivotal in enhancing the intricate discharge procedures within the organization. The selected individual will facilitate internal process enhancements and act as a liaison for improvements involving system partners, supported collaboratively by the organization and associated programs. The Strategy & Transformation Team operates within the Corporate Division, under the guidance of the Deputy Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer.

The Strategy & Transformation team is in the process of establishing a long-term framework that integrates Strategy and Continuous Improvement. This team provides extensive support and assurance for significant improvement initiatives across the organization. While the Clinical Divisions hold the primary responsibility for these initiatives, the Strategy & Transformation team is dedicated to fostering and expediting improvements, enabling change processes, and pursuing continuous enhancement to meet these objectives.

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong programme and project management capabilities, with a proven track record of successful improvement outcomes, preferably within a healthcare environment. Familiarity with contemporary project management methodologies, benchmarking practices, and the application of best practices from the NHS and other sectors is essential.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with cultivating and embedding a culture of continuous improvement within the teams they support, exemplifying best practices through their leadership. Essential relationships will need to be established with operational management and workstream leaders within clinical divisions to ensure the seamless delivery of programmes that meet high standards, with clear objectives and tangible benefits.

The primary goals and objectives include:

  • Overseeing the operational processes for the organization and its system partners.
  • Implementing improvement strategies to minimize lost capacity.
  • Collaborating with information services to develop a discharge dashboard for accurate reporting and analysis of complex pathways and associated lengths of stay, including benefits realization from improvement initiatives.
  • Reporting progress and improvement metrics to the relevant programme board.
  • Streamlining and enhancing the current complex discharge processes, engaging with improvement colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Evaluating the operability of existing systems and collaborating with technical teams to map processes, potentially involving necessary adjustments to maintain functionality.
  • Supporting the implementation of digital solutions, working closely with technical colleagues and providing training to discharge teams on effective usage, while measuring benefits.
  • Establishing a stakeholder engagement forum to facilitate rapid improvements.

About the Organization

The organization is committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity within its workforce, encouraging applications from individuals of all backgrounds, particularly those from disabled, Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities, as well as local candidates.

In support of our employees, we offer a comprehensive range of benefits, including:

  • Membership in the NHS Pension Scheme.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
  • Enhanced pay rates for unsociable hours.

  • Wellbeing initiatives to foster a healthy work environment.
  • Access to in-house physiotherapy services.
  • On-site dining facilities with subsidized meals.
  • Subsidized parking options.
  • Complimentary bus travel within designated areas.
