About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at ESSRecruit. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the execution of all front-line electrical, control system, and instrumentation maintenance activities across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute maintenance activities in accordance with safe systems of work and ensure the protection of people, plant, and the environment.
  • Ensure that all work activities are executed safely and take responsibility for the safety of others.
  • Maintain our facilities using best industry practices in compliance with all relevant environmental, legal, license, and internal norms.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to deliver maintenance services within our facilities, sharing best practices and expertise.
  • Execute all preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities across our facilities.
  • Execute planned and unplanned shutdown activities.
  • Work with and support external maintenance service providers operating within our facilities.
  • Identify operational improvement projects that simplify, standardize, or improve the operability of our facilities.
  • Ensure projects are executed to a high standard and any as-built modifications are documented.
  • Deliver services within an Integrated Management System (IMS) environment where maintenance activities are executed in accordance with environmental objectives and the maintenance working environment is a safe, healthy, and energizing place to deliver exceptional service.
  • Attention to detail and doing things right, first time, every time.
  • Be aware of the impact of maintenance activities and the way they are executed on the operational budget for our facilities.
  • Always be on the lookout for alternative methods of executing work that make it safer, improve quality, and/or efficiency.
Requirements
  • SVQ/HNC/HND with significant experience gained in a maintenance, construction, and/or engineering services environment.
  • Proven maintenance experience within a complex operational environment (Power Generation, and Industrial Process).
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Distributed Control System and PLC's would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Low, Medium, and High Voltage switching and control equipment.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience of complex integrated plant and equipment commonly found within continuous process industries such as: power generation, cement industry, and petrochemicals.
  • Specific Furnace/Boiler and/or rotating equipment experience a distinct advantage.
