Position: Electrical Maintenance Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Specialist (EC&I) responsible for executing all frontline electrical, control systems, and instrumentation maintenance tasks across various processes, buildings, and site systems. This role is crucial for maintaining operational compliance and ensuring high levels of facility availability. Additionally, you will mentor and support less experienced maintenance technicians and apprentices within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all maintenance activities following a safe system of work, prioritizing the safety of personnel, equipment, and the environment.
  • Ensure the safe execution of all work activities and take accountability for the safety of colleagues.
  • Maintain the facility in accordance with industry best practices, adhering to all relevant environmental, legal, and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to deliver services effectively, sharing best practices.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance across the facility.
  • Manage both planned and unplanned shutdown activities.
  • Support external maintenance service providers operating within the facility.
  • Identify and implement operational improvement projects that enhance efficiency and standardization.
  • Ensure high-quality execution of projects and proper documentation of any modifications.
  • Deliver services within an Integrated Management System (IMS) framework, ensuring maintenance activities align with environmental objectives and promote a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Maintain a focus on detail and strive for first-time quality in all tasks.
  • Recognize the financial implications of maintenance activities and their execution on the operational budget.
  • Continuously seek alternative methods to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency in work execution.

Qualifications:

  • SVQ/HNC/HND with substantial experience in maintenance, construction, or engineering services.
  • Demonstrated maintenance experience in complex operational settings (e.g., Power Generation, Industrial Processes).
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems and PLCs is advantageous.
  • Experience with Low, Medium, and High Voltage switching and control equipment.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Experience with integrated plant and equipment in continuous process industries such as power generation, cement, and petrochemicals.
  • Specific experience with Furnace/Boiler and/or rotating equipment is a distinct advantage.
