Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Consultant to lead our energy team in Bristol. Our client is a growing independent sustainability consultancy providing expertise to clients across the UK.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Technical Consultant to lead a team of sustainability and energy consultants on numerous projects within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have an OCDEA qualification and experience delivering Part L SAP assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of sustainability and energy consultants on various projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Produce SAP assessments and calculations to ensure clients' projects comply with Part L regulations.
  • Undertake thermal bridging and U-value heat loss calculations to optimize energy efficiency.
  • Mentor and help junior staff members develop professionally, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct energy assessments for existing dwellings and provide sustainable solutions to clients on their construction projects to minimize environmental impact.

Requirements

  • OCDEA qualification with demonstrable experience delivering Part L SAP assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning and building regulations in compliance with Part L.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
