Job Title: Adult Community Care Officer

Belmont Recruitment is seeking a Community Care Officer to work with a Nottinghamshire-based Local Authority on a temporary assignment. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, with occasional out-of-hours work and hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote independence and personalisation to ensure service users and carers can assess and manage their own needs, risks, and uncertainties within their living environment.
  • Identify community and other support resources, maximising individuals' assets, preventative/universal services, and other funding sources, in line with the Adult Social Care Strategy.
  • Support the work of Safeguarding Officers and Safeguarding Managers during enquiries.
  • Liaise and negotiate with local providers and support networks to deliver better outcomes for people.
Essential Criteria:
  • Relevant Health/Social Care qualification to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of community care services within a health or social care setting, including legislation and policies.
  • Knowledge of current Adult Social Care and Health policy.
