Children's Community Specialist Dietitian

We are seeking a motivated dietitian to join our team in providing high-quality care to children with diabetes.
The successful candidate will work closely with consultant and nursing colleagues to provide support and education to children and their families in managing their diabetes.
The role involves supporting MDT clinics, providing education and support to patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and advising on insulin pump therapy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paediatric diabetes care and excellent communication skills.
Main Responsibilities- Support MDT clinics and joint dietitian-diabetes specialist nurse clinics.
- Provide education and support to patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
- Advise on insulin pump therapy.
- Create and adapt structured education courses.
- Participate in student training.
- Capture data to evaluate the service.
- Qualified Dietitian with a strong background in paediatric diabetes care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Leadership and management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Flexibility to meet the demands of the service.
- Flexibility to meet the demands of the service.
- Able to travel to required areas within and beyond the Trust.
- Able to use a computer keyboard and relevant computer programmes.
