About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dietitian to join our team at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Children's Community Specialist Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to children with diabetes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support multidisciplinary team clinics and joint dietitian-diabetes specialist nurse clinics.
  • Provide education and support to children and their families to manage their diabetes.
  • Advise patients on insulin pump therapy and carbohydrate counting.
  • Develop and deliver structured education courses.
  • Contribute to student training and participate in audit and research activities.
Person Specification
  • Qualified Dietitian with a 4-year degree or equivalent.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Leadership and management training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work as part of a multi-professional team.
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Contractual Requirements
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of the service.
  • Able to travel to required areas within and beyond the Trust.
  • Able to use a computer keyboard and relevant computer programmes.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £46,148 to £52,809 per annum pro rata, and a range of benefits including flexible working arrangements and opportunities for professional development.
