Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Paediatrician to join our team at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Paediatrician, you will be responsible for delivering general community paediatric clinics in the Mid Nottinghamshire area, including the Mansfield/Ashfield area, Newark, and Ollerton. You will also be involved in daytime child protection on call for social care requested medical assessments.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will have a broad experience of all clinical aspects of community child health, including neuro-disability. They will be able to demonstrate having achieved the competencies equivalent to the Highest Specialist Paediatric Training and have valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training. The candidate must have a UK driving license and have access to a car due to the requirement to travel to and from off-site locations.

Person Specification

  • MRCPCH by examination or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration
  • On the GMC's Specialist Register OR within six months of CCT at time of scheduled interview
  • Broad experience of all clinical aspects of community child health including neuro-disability
  • Valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training

Desirable

  • Higher degree, MSc, MD, PhD in Paediatrics
  • Completed Fellowship programme
  • DCH, DCCH, MBA or other relevant diplomas
