As the Health Visiting Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality healthcare services to families within our community. You will be responsible for leading and motivating a skilled team of health visitors, ensuring they have the support and resources needed to provide exceptional care.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the health visiting team, aligning their work with national policy and local priorities.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance service delivery, promote best practices, and improve patient outcomes.
- Foster a culture of continuous professional development within the team, encouraging ongoing learning and skill enhancement.
- Effectively manage resources, including budgets and staffing, to ensure efficient and sustainable service operations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community partners to create a seamless and integrated care system for families.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A recognized Community Practitioner qualification in Health Visiting.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a SCPHN Health Visitor.
- Evidence of continuous professional development and mentorship training (CPT or equivalent).
- Comprehensive knowledge of community-based health services, including national policy frameworks.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Experience managing a multidisciplinary team.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with SystmOne.
- Proven experience in operational management of community clinical services, with a track record of successful delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to modernize practice and implement evidence-based approaches within the specialist area.
- Strong project management skills and experience in workforce redesign initiatives.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, stakeholders, and families.
- Ability to translate strategic vision into practical implementation plans.
- Proficiency in financial resource management and KPI delivery.
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical and corporate governance systems.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and a proactive approach to risk management.
- Current full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel between sites.
