Job Overview

Operose Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our primary care team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to the primary care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Work closely with the regional nursing, operational, and GP teams to ensure all targets are met in line with current guidelines and standards within national service frameworks.
  • Act within professional boundaries, providing care for presenting patients from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care.
  • Demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice.
  • Work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required.
  • Support the Regional Lead Nurse and act as a deputy as required to ensure a high level of quality and standards at all times.
  • Be involved with the implementation and monitoring of all clinical aspects, demonstrating clinical excellence in conjunction with the site clinical lead, and assist with the implementation of any nursing/AHP redesign and quality strategies to ensure a high-quality nursing/AHP team.
Requirements
  • First-level UK registered nurse/Registered AHP with at least 2 years post-qualified experience.
  • Non-medical Prescriber.
  • Demonstrates sound evidence of academic links.
  • Extensive clinical experience in Primary Care Health settings and managing nursing teams.
  • Understanding of the Lead Role.
