Engineering Planner

Location: Ashby de la Zouch

Type: Onsite, Permanent Role

Role Overview

As the Engineering Planner, you will be responsible for orchestrating and strategizing activities aimed at minimizing plant downtime through effective maintenance planning. Your focus will be on enhancing the efficiency of both weekday and weekend work schedules to maximize resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Site Services Manager to oversee engineering workloads and resource availability for planned maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain and enhance the Planned Maintenance system, ensuring it includes:
    • Precise and comprehensive content
    • Accurate completion times and manpower requirements
    • Preventative Maintenance schedules based on operational hours
  • Utilize work plans and maintenance systems to meet target completion rates.
  • Provide weekly reports on departmental performance metrics.
  • Monitor and report on repair and maintenance expenditures while supporting the Area Engineering Manager.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity of data within the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system.
  • Report on compliance, workload, and backlog information.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the PPM system through regular evaluations with key stakeholders.
  • Prepare engineering scorecards with a focus on maintenance costs.
