Position: Support Worker at Inverness Resettlement

Organization: The Salvation Army

Overview: The Inverness Resettlement team is on the lookout for a dedicated, caring, and proactive individual to become part of their mission. The focus is on assisting individuals in reaching their personal objectives at a pace that suits them.

Primary Duties:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive support framework that prioritizes client autonomy and decision-making
  • Identify and address the support requirements of clients, enabling them to initiate positive transformations in their lives
  • Equip clients with the necessary skills to maintain independent living within the community

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic proficiency in IT applications, including Microsoft Office
  • Awareness of the typical support requirements for homeless and at-risk individuals
  • Knowledge of welfare systems such as Universal Credit and Housing Benefit
  • Possession of a full UK Driving Licence and availability of a vehicle for travel within the designated area
  • SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or a commitment to pursue this qualification
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic environment, manage competing priorities, and make informed decisions under pressure
