Support Group Facilitator Opportunity

Xaver is seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to facilitate a monthly support group for individuals living with bipolar or other mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-facilitate a support group with a colleague, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for participants to share their experiences.
  • Encourage open discussion and active listening, while maintaining confidentiality and respect for all participants.
  • Email meeting reminders to group participants and submit brief statistics to Bipolar Scotland after each meeting.
Requirements:
  • Passion for supporting and empowering others, with a strong understanding of mental health recovery.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, with the ability to commit to facilitating a meeting once or twice a month.
  • A commitment to confidentiality and a willingness to work with a diverse group of individuals.
What We Offer:
  • Reasonable travel expenses for group facilitators to get to and from the group.
  • Induction and ongoing support, including 3x 2-hour online training sessions and e-learning modules.
Restrictions:
  • Minimum age: 18
  • PVG certificate/check required to carry out this role.
