Job Title: Associate Director - Transport Planning

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our Transport Planning team in Scotland. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing and delivering transport planning projects, and leading a team of professionals.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team at WSP UK. As Associate Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering transport planning projects, including feasibility studies, master planning, and detailed design
  • Leading a team of transport planners, engineers, and other professionals to deliver projects to the highest standards
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to grow our business and deliver projects
  • Contributing to the development of our transport planning services and expertise
  • Collaborating with other teams across WSP UK to deliver integrated projects and services
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in transport planning, with a strong understanding of the Scottish transport market
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Chartered status or equivalent, with a degree in a relevant field
