Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing a range of projects within the Strategic Projects team. This position entails overseeing project reporting and claims processes with funding entities and assisting in the preparation of project funding proposals.

Key Duties

  • Project Oversight: Formulate and track project timelines to guarantee on-schedule completion. Direct project teams, allocate tasks, and supervise their implementation.
  • Risk Assessment: Actively identify and mitigate project risks and challenges, ensuring timely escalation when necessary.
  • Reporting Duties: Compile and present reports for project boards, stakeholders, and funding organizations.
  • Documentation Management: Ensure all project documentation adheres to the NCC Project Management Approach and conduct evaluations to capture valuable insights.
  • Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the Finance department to manage and report on project budgets and financial outlays.
  • Funding Proposal Coordination: Organize and prepare project funding proposals, including the collection of essential information and securing necessary approvals.

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive experience in managing intricate projects, including capital or business enhancement initiatives.
  • Proven track record in generating project reports and coordinating funding proposals.
  • Certification in project management methodologies such as PRINCE2.
  • Preferred qualification in Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in software applications such as Visio and the MS Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Capacity to work autonomously, prioritize responsibilities, and cultivate strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
