Job Summary:

Infraspec is seeking an experienced Strategic Project Planner to join a major defence infrastructure construction project. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules, coordinating work packages, tracking progress, and managing resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Schedule Management:
    • Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.
    • Coordinate work packages with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
    • Track progress and identify areas for improvement to optimize resource allocation.
    • Manage resources effectively to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Sub-Contractor Coordination:
    • Oversee and coordinate with sub-contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
    • Review and approve sub-contractor programmes to ensure alignment with project schedules.
    • Interface with stakeholders to report on progress, identify changes, assess risks, and highlight opportunities.
  • MS Office Skills:
    • Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and Project, to analyze data, create reports, and manage project metrics.
  • Self-Motivation:
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines without supervision.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Sub-Contractor Engagement:
    • Confidently engage with sub-contractors to build strong relationships and ensure successful project execution.
    • Critically review sub-contractor submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Requirements:
  • SC-level security clearance or eligibility to obtain one with a UK passport.
  • Prior experience as a project planner on NEC4 Contracts, particularly Option A and Option C.
  • Experience in major infrastructure design and build projects, particularly in the nuclear or defence industry.
