Job Opportunity for Urban Planning Professionals

About the Role:

Dar Group, a leading consultancy with international presence, is seeking an experienced Urban Planner to join our team in London. As an Urban Planner, you will play a key role in shaping the future of urban development, working on impactful projects both locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic urban planning initiatives, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative and sustainable solutions.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage international projects, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients through presentations, meetings, and workshops, delivering insights and solutions that meet their needs.
  • Tender and Proposal Management: Prepare and manage tenders and project proposals, showcasing Dar Group's expertise and capabilities.
  • Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior staff, including urban planners, designers, and interns, to ensure their growth and development.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and accuracy of all reports and documents, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree and a postgraduate degree/diploma in Urban Planning from a recognized university.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience for senior roles, or 3 to 6 years for less senior positions.
  • Exceptional planning, presentation, and teamwork skills, with a proactive and motivated approach.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in urban planning, design, and sustainable development.
  • Previous experience in the Gulf States and Middle East is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Portuguese or another second language is a significant advantage.
  • Flexibility to travel overseas on short notice.
