About the Job:

The Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Registered Nurse on this unit, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with acute mental health challenges, working collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct patient and family education on mental health and wellness strategies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care

The East Kootenay Regional Hospital Psychiatric department is a 10-bed inpatient unit that provides a safe and supportive environment for patients to receive high-quality care.
