About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the adult sensory service in Kent County Council. Our team specializes in working with d/Deaf and deaf-blind individuals, providing support tailored to their communication preferences, including British Sign Language (BSL). Our focus is on empowering individuals affected by deafness or deaf blindness to lead independent lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake assessments such as Care Act Assessments, MCA Assessments, Court of Protection applications, and safeguarding enquiries.
  • Build relationships with individuals, families, and carers, engaging with communities to provide local support.

About You

We welcome applications from experienced social workers who can demonstrate practice in line with professional standards. Must be registered with Social Work England and possess strong literacy and communication skills.
