About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Care Specialist to join our Adult Sensory Service team at Kent County Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with deafness or deaf-blindness to lead independent lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Care Act Assessments, Mental Capacity Act (MCA) Assessments, and Court of Protection applications
  • Undertake safeguarding enquiries and provide support to individuals with varying levels of complexity
  • Work collaboratively with individuals, families, and carers to develop personalized support plans
  • Engage with local communities to promote empowerment and access to trusted support services

About You

We welcome applications from experienced and newly qualified social workers who can demonstrate capability in accordance with current professional standards, legislative, and policy frameworks. You will hold a registration with Social Work England and possess excellent literacy and communication skills.
