We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Young Person's Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at Catch22. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic support to young people aged 16-25, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Build Trusting Relationships: Establish strong, trusting relationships with young people, creating a safe and supportive environment for them to open up and share their concerns.
- Therapeutic Support: Provide non-formalized therapeutic techniques from a range of therapeutic backgrounds to meet the needs of the young people you work with.
- Case Management: Identify and refer young people with more complex mental health needs to appropriate agencies, ensuring they receive the support they require.
- Community Outreach: Engage in outreach and orientation work with young people and services in the community, building partnerships and ensuring seamless support.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with staff from various agencies, including Youth Services, Social Care, Substance Misuse, and NHS, to provide holistic support to young people.
- Qualifications: NVQ level 2 in a relevant area or a degree in a social studies subject, such as sociology, social administration, psychology, or teaching, youth work, nursing, substance misuse, or social work.
- Experience: Proven experience of working with young people in youth-based settings, providing one-to-one support, and knowledge of good practice in emotional wellbeing and mental health.
- Skills: Ability to work with vulnerable young people, knowledge of relevant legislation and policy, and an understanding of risk management processes.
