Young Person's Wellbeing Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Young Person's Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at The Hive. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional wellbeing and mental health of young people aged 16-25.
Key Responsibilities:- Build trusting relationships with young people to facilitate open and honest discussions about their challenges and concerns.
- Apply non-formalised therapeutic techniques from various therapeutic backgrounds to meet the unique needs of each young person.
- Identify and refer young people with complex mental health needs to relevant agencies, ensuring seamless support and coordination.
- Support young people in accessing a range of in-house and local services, promoting holistic wellbeing and empowerment.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local services through community orientation and outreach work, ensuring integrated support for young people.
- NVQ level 2 or BA/BSc degree in a relevant field, such as social studies, youth work, or a related area.
- Experience working with young people in youth-based settings, with a focus on supporting those from underprivileged backgrounds.
- Proven ability to provide one-to-one support and guidance to young people, addressing their emotional wellbeing and mental health needs.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, and good practice relating to young people, including emotional wellbeing and mental health.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff from diverse agencies, including Youth Services, Social Care, Substance Misuse, and NHS/Mental Health.
