Job Title: Young Person's Wellbeing Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Young Person's Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at Catch22. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional wellbeing of young people aged 16-25.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build trusting relationships with young people to facilitate open and honest discussions about their challenges and concerns.
  • Apply non-formalised therapeutic techniques from various therapeutic backgrounds to meet the unique needs of each young person.
  • Identify and refer young people with complex mental health needs to relevant agencies, ensuring seamless support and care.
  • Support young people in accessing a range of in-house and local services, promoting holistic wellbeing and empowerment.
  • Develop strong partnerships with local services through community orientation and outreach work, ensuring integrated support and a cohesive approach to service delivery.
Requirements:
  • NVQ level 2 or BA/BSc degree in a relevant field, such as social studies, youth work, or a related subject.
  • Experience working with young people in youth-based settings, with a focus on supporting those from underprivileged backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to provide one-to-one support and guidance to young people, addressing their emotional and mental health needs.
  • Knowledge of good practice in emotional wellbeing and mental health, including an understanding of key issues related to service delivery for 16-25 year olds.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff from diverse agencies, including Youth Services, Social Care, Substance Misuse, and the NHS.
