Trainee Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Newham CAMHS, a specialist child and adolescent mental health service that is renowned for its innovative and flexible approach to meeting the complex mental health needs of children, young people, and families in Newham.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Child and Young Person (CWP) to join our team as a Trainee Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner. The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with children and young people with mental health difficulties and will be able to supervise junior CWP staff and CWP trainees.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver individual and group interventions for young people and parents under the supervision of a senior clinician.
- Support clinicians in the running of other therapy groups.
- Contribute to the development of the service provision and be creative, flexible, adaptable, professional, and motivated in all aspects of the role.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A qualification from a recognised CWP or EMHP Training Course (Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma).
- Evidence of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties.
- Experience working as a qualified CWP/EMHP.
- CAMHS experience.
- Experience of the application of psychological therapy in different cultural contexts.
