About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Voyage Care in Stockton on Tees. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of the people we support, helping them to gain more independence in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Encourage and support individuals to access their local communities, engage in social activities, and participate in hobbies and interests
  • Teach new life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and managing finances
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals, promoting their physical and mental wellbeing

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, and challenging behaviors
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Resilience, flexibility, and composure in approach
  • Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice experience
