About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cancer Services Coordinator to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings, tracking and reporting cancer waiting times, and collecting and monitoring cancer services and outcomes dataset data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Cancer MDMs by identifying patients for discussion, producing and circulating a list of cancer patients prior to the MDM, and communicating with relevant clinical departments, pathology, and radiology.
  • Proactively manage the patients' pathway from first outpatient appointment to treatment, ensuring that the tracking process is documented and highlighting pathway issues to the Lead MDT Coordinator and Operational teams.
  • Attend the MDM as part of the Core Team and communicate complex information, including patient history and diagnosis.
  • Record the attendance, treatment decisions, clinical history, and staging discussed within the MDT meeting, both in the patients' notes and via minutes.
  • Liaise with tertiary providers for patients sent between organizations, including sending Inter-Provider Transfer Forms and relevant reports/documentation, and track through to treatment.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Working with the NHS or another large organization.
  • Experience of working without close supervision and being able to multitask within close deadlines.
  • Excellent IT skills, including understanding of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
