Role Overview:

The Applications Support Analyst plays a crucial role in delivering support and maintenance services for our clients' product offerings in the Energy sector, ensuring that both operational and project goals are successfully met.

This position guarantees that applications remain current with product roadmaps and are in sync with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver level 1 and level 2 application support and maintenance services.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, administration, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the application portfolio.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors as part of support and maintenance initiatives.
  • Provide assistance for both onshore and offshore business applications.
  • Manage related hardware accessory support and asset oversight.
  • Ensure timely and precise testing of solutions, patches, and other maintenance tasks prior to deployment.
  • Work alongside third-party vendors to ensure service support.
  • Engage with other IS functions to guarantee successful solution deployment into production.
  • Maintain system documentation, ensuring that knowledge base articles and IS guides are current.
  • Ensure that events and demands are addressed within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Cloud Application services, M365, Azure, SQL, and Active Directory.
  • Experience with database technologies such as SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Expertise in application installation and configuration.
  • In-depth knowledge of managing application support and testing.
  • Strong documentation skills, process orientation, and a determined approach to managing daily operational pressures.
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively and meet established deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple issues and shifting priorities.
  • Outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to liaise across various business areas.
  • Experience in supporting enterprise applications within the energy and utilities sector is preferred but not mandatory.
  • ITIL foundation qualification is desirable but not essential.
