Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks across various systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough maintenance on plant machinery, equipment, and building services.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with on-site equipment, ensuring accurate documentation and identification of critical spare parts.
- Enhance machinery performance and implement a robust preventative maintenance strategy.
- Provide specialized electrical and mechanical support to the maintenance division, focusing on heavy industrial machinery and overhead lifting systems.
- Develop and adhere to risk assessments, addressing any arising issues with precision and safety.
- Work on various components including motors, gearboxes, and valves, covering hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Utilize mobile technology to efficiently manage and complete tasks via the CAFM maintenance system.
- Collaborate with on-site services to resolve any building-related concerns, responding with confidence and accuracy.
- Assume responsibility for departmental operations as needed, including acting as the Shift Leader during absences.
- Be prepared to work additional hours, including nights and weekends, as business demands dictate.

Qualifications:
- Electrical qualifications equivalent to City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 and 17th Edition standards.
- Mechanical qualifications meeting City and Guilds standards.
- Proven multi-skilled capabilities.
- Competence in PLC diagnostics and repairs.
- NVQ qualifications at Level 2 in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Ability to oversee contractor activities.
- Proficient in writing risk and method statements.
- IPAF certification.
