Work Schedule

This is a full-time role with a standard Monday to Friday workweek, providing an excellent opportunity for a healthy work-life balance.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of £80,000 to £85,000, along with a performance-related bonus of 15% and a car allowance of £5,700, which can be converted to a company electric vehicle after a designated period.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the asset care program for the facility, ensuring compliance with safety, technical, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead initiatives related to safety, including management of refrigeration systems, electrical wiring, asbestos handling, water treatment, effluent management, boiler operations, equipment safety, and power systems.
  • Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements concerning personnel, plant safety, environmental standards, and energy efficiency.
  • Continuously enhance the asset care and maintenance system, focusing on cost management, workforce planning, preventative maintenance, and inventory control.
  • Drive profitability, service excellence, and quality standards through a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A BSc, HND, or HNC in Electrical, Mechanical, or dual-skilled engineering.
  • Specialization in either mechanical or electrical engineering, with in-depth knowledge of PLC and computer-controlled systems.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office and CMMS systems.
  • Business acumen with a solid understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to engineering.
  • Effective communication skills at all organizational levels, with an emphasis on presenting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • A valid driving license.
