Job Summary
We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to maintain a clean and safe environment in our school. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the school building and its grounds are well-maintained and secure.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Repairs
- Maintain the security of the premises and its contents, including being a registered key holder;
- Undertake minor repairs, maintenance work, and porterage duties;
- Ensure that the lighting and heating systems are in good working condition;
- Cleanliness and Organization
- Ensure the school is kept clean through close working with the site team;
- Purchase site-related maintenance materials (own vehicle will be required to transport);
- Collaboration and Support
- Work with the Site Manager/Health and Safety Manager to support with the arrangements for project developments, general repair, and maintenance;
- Respond to out-of-hours emergency call-outs as necessary in order to provide effective security arrangements.
Requirements
- Personal Qualities
- Be conscientious and trustworthy;
- Demonstrate outstanding attention to detail;
- Have the ability to work independently, but also as part of a team;
- Have the ability to act on their own initiative;
- Experience and Skills
- Ideally have relevant experience in working in a facilities maintenance role;
- Have a good sense of humour and a hardworking ethos;
- Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding children and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
