A remarkable position has become available within the esteemed Luxury 5* Corporate Hotel brand, Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel, located in the vibrant area of Canary Wharf, East London.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and friendly Night Receptionist (Casual) to join our main welcoming team, serving as the Ambassador of the Hotel within the Front Office (Nights) Department.

Set against the backdrop of the historic wharfs and quays of East London, Canary Riverside Plaza stands as the sole five-star independent hotel in Canary Wharf. With 142 spacious guest rooms and suites, we ensure an incredibly comfortable stay for both business and leisure travelers, offering breathtaking views of the River Thames and the city skyline.

Guests can indulge in a full five-star experience, with access to the adjacent Health Club and Spa, or enjoy afternoon tea on the sunlit terrace at the Quadrato Restaurant.

The Quadrato Restaurant features Italian-inspired menus, showcasing flavors that are light, fresh, and quintessentially Italian. The stunning views of the River Thames and London skyline are best appreciated from the elegant terrace or through the soaring windows of the restaurant. The adjacent Quadrato Bar & Lounge offers a selection of signature cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, making it the ideal spot for pre-dinner drinks or a nightcap.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Night Receptionist, you will support the Night Manager and Hotel Manager during the night shift, ensuring the comfort and safety of our guests while maintaining the hotel's property in collaboration with the Security Department.

Key qualifications we seek include:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a front-of-house reception role within a reputable 5* hotel.
  • A strong understanding of exceptional hotel guest service and its delivery.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities.
  • Capability to remain composed under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Adaptability to changes and a keen eye for detail.

Main Duties:

  • Deliver personalized service to guests, fostering relationships to ensure loyalty and future bookings.
  • Oversee the smooth operation of the Front of House Reception during the night shift.
  • Conduct prompt and courteous check-in and check-out procedures, coordinating with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Security as needed.
  • Handle incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Assist in running the night audit and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Guide guests to the restaurant in the absence of a concierge.
  • Manage reservations in the absence of the Reservations Department.
  • Fulfill guest requests and ensure proper communication with relevant departments.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and the local area.
  • Address client taxi requests and report maintenance or cleanliness issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Night Manager and Hotel Manager.
